Sportsman’s Guide™ is proud to offer a wide range of reliable New Balance® footwear for men and women. Athletic shoes, running shoes, Trail walkers…even sandals and insoles. So if you’re working out, hitting the trails, or maybe you just want a comfortable everyday shoe, there’s a shoe that fits your lifestyle. And many of them have technologies unique to New Balance®. To make the most-informed decision on which is best for your needs, here’s an explanation of some of those special features.

ABZORBABZORB® and ABZORB® FL

The foam cushioning in the midsole includes DuPont® Engage® isoprene rubber. ABZORB® increases cushioning and compression resistance properties. Plus, it aids in absorbing forceful impacts. So not only do you get shock-absorbing comfort, the midsole keeps its form without breaking down. The FL does this at full-length while being 20% lighter than standard foam.

AT TreadAT® Tread

A dual-use outsole tread combines both trail and running lug designs for on and off-road use. The lugs are just enough to give you traction on the trail and grip on the pavement. Getting a pair of shoes with the AT® Tread is a great idea if you want versatile, all-around shoes that can handle mixed terrains like paved surfaces and dirt roads.

NduranceNdurance®

The outsole has a rubber compound for maximum durability in high-wear areas. This helps prevent stress on the strike points especially, which can lead to uneven wear on the outsole. Are you tough on your shoes or like to put lots of miles on them? Consider this your extra reinforcement!

Walking Strike PathWalking Strike Path

This outsole feature helps stabilize and guide the foot through your walking gait style. The result? A natural, easy, effortless stride and good posture. You’ll generally see these on walking shoes…shoes that have a mostly flat outsole.

QUIXQUIX

A flexibility technology designed to improve traction and provide a solid base for the medial forefoot during lateral cutting movements. You’ll find this often in their training shoes. It’s handy for when you’re pushing off to the side, like during racquetball, cross-training, or a game of Tag with the kids.
