Installing the Knob Where You Need It does require drilling an extra hole in that panel, but that’s the most difficult part of the whole process. From there you just follow the rest of the instructions for mounting hardware, threading the turn shaft, and attaching to the existing on/off knob on your propane tank. The entire set up takes less than half an hour.
